Like a usual UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), the US9001 provides backup power during power outage situations to keep a computer system running. The modules in the system run independently of each other to ensure that the system will not stop even when any one of the modules fails. This unique approach makes the US9001 inherently reliable.

Hot-swappable and Fault-tolerant 
The US9001 system will continue to function even when a module fails or is removed from the Cabinet. The module can be removed while the system is running and can be inserted back into operation without stopping the system. This is the real Hot-Swap! Unlike other UPSs which claim to be reliable, the US9001 can be demonstrated to be reliable.
Field upgradable 
The US9001 system has three main components - Power Module, Battery Module and Cabinet. The Power Module comes in a single size of 1 KVA and has built-in batteries to provide backup time that is sufficient for most applications. In situations where backup time needs to be extended, Battery-Modules can be added just by plugging them into any available slots in the Cabinet. 

The Cabinet comes in various sizes to suit different growth requirements; extra slots can be left empty for future needs. When all slots are occupied, the system can be further upgraded by merely replacing the Cabinet with a bigger one, and adding more modules. The Cabinets are available in many different sizes which can go as high as a few hundred slots. Cabinets of 9 or more slots are available in single-phase or three-phase operation.
Easy to install and service 
Since the system is built up of many modules, each weighing less than 16kg, it can be easily transported and installed. Servicing and maintenance of the system is made simple too. Indicators on each module will tell if a module is malfunctioning. In case of malfunction, all that the user has to do is to unplug it and send it back to the dealer by courier service.
